A onesie also helps keep the diaper on and snaps in place so your baby can roll around and play freely and comfortably. Onesies usually come in packets of three or six or even 12. Stock up on these because they will come in very handy.

Swaddle Blanket

One of the things you will need to do with a newborn baby is to swaddle them and for this, you will need a swaddle blanket. You might actually need a few swaddle blankets so if one gets soiled or if you haven’t had the time to do the laundry, you have other options to use. Swaddling mimics the gentle squeeze of the womb, so it’s super-comforting, especially for newborns.

Baby Wipes

Baby wipes have already been mentioned above is one of the things that is needed in a diaper station but that’s not all you’ll need them for. With a baby, you are going to be constantly cleaning and wiping things down and cleaning and wiping your baby’s hands and mouth. Wipes will come in very handy for this and so it is important that you stock up on them.

Diaper Bag

You’ll need a diaper bag to carry not just diapers but most of the items mentioned on this list.  A diaper bag is important to have and much needed for when you go out with your baby. It’ll keep you organized and you can carry all the items you need to take care of your baby when you are outside the house such as diapers and wipes but also items like food, water, and a change of clothes for the baby.

You will need a stroller if you plan to move around with your baby. It is important to get a stroller that fits your lifestyle. So for example, if you are living in the city in an urban terrain, you will need a stroller that is strong and sturdy and can survive being used every day, are you make your commute and walk through the streets of the city. If you live in a suburban neighborhood, where you drive everywhere, you will need a stroller that can fold easily into the trunk of your car. Make sure you test out a stroller before you buy it, move it around the store and see how it feels and also see if you like the grip.

This is not compulsory but many moms swear by it and it does actually come in handy a lot of times. A carrier keeps the baby cozied up to the parent and mimics the feeling of being swaddled.
